Time flies and here it is time for our June 17th Monday night dinner at Mama Rosa's. Hope to see ya'll there.

Larry Prince, the Drive editor/writer for Virginan-Pilot will be guest speaker and I ask him to speak about his temp "day job" last month helping build a VW Passat in TN.

F1 PB&J (Canadian GP) Sunday!

Ok - I'm doing a Pizza, Beer & Just watching F1 at my place Sunday for the Canadian GP.  I do this every year, so if you need details, check out the link below.  There may also be wine available for Ferrari fans!  Race start is 2:00pm, but I will have pre-race stuff on starting at 1pm.  Park on the lawn - the grass has been dead for years.  Hope to see you here!

2013 Appalachian Moonshine Rally June 1

Greeting to all,

 

I had a chance today to run the full route for the Moonshine Rally with Jon Saylor, and without a doubt, this will be one of the best ever.  Classic North Carolina back roads, spectacular scenery, and a great final destination.  The date is Saturday, June 1.  The email below from Jennifer is forwarded for your information.

 

The weather forecast calls for sunshine and high in the low 80's.   Hope to see you all there.

Please come and join us for a great day on the road to benefit Lupus research at the 13th Annual Appalachian Moonshine Rally, Saturday June 1, 2013. The city of Elkin, NC will close off a section on East Main Street to allow over 100 cars to line up for a TSD rally course. Cars will depart in 30 second intervals and meet again at an undisclosed vineyard. Food will be available for purchase or bring a picnic, buy a bottle of wine and enjoy the view.
