Rain Rain Hurricane Stay Away from our Door

Folks we are going to take Robin's advice and postpone our August 28th Alfa Sunday BBQ and Pool Party until better weather predictions. New rain date TBA later.

So Sundays afternoon events to Fantom Works and pool party in Hampton not canceled just postponed to be rescheduled later. Saturday's car show event at Pungo airport may still be a go depending on weather.

F1 breakfast Sunday maybe still a go if roads aren't flooded, too.

Pray for rain in Texas and locally just over the Dismal Swamp.

Hampton Roads Alfa Weekend Aug 27-28

Couple of late changes to this month's schedule. No dinner meeting Monday Aug 15.

This months "dinner meeting" will be BBQ at Tom's house Sunday afternoon Aug 28 so bring something good to eat and share.

Three or four reasons for this change:

1, Bistro 324 closed for wedding rehearsal dinners on Friday Aug 26 so they had to cancel my planned dinner that night. Just got email yesterday.

2. We are NOW starting our weekend at Wings and Wheels event Saturday Aug 27 from 8 to 4.

3. We are having a Sunday morning F1 breakfast/brunch from 8 to 10:30 am at Azalea Inn Time Out Sports Bar.

4. Grand finale is our summer afternoon BBQ meeting at Tom's house Aug 28.

Hope to see you all at as many of these events as possible.

Saturday Aug 27 - We will group up some of us early at 8 a.m. at Burger King and Target parking lot located off I-264 Exit 20 north - First Colonial Rd Virginia Beach to caravan to Pungo Airport to set up our car corral. I have an Alfa Flag somewhere if I can find it. Tom and Rick has some, too.

Sunday Aug 28 - F1 breakfast your arrival time can be anywhere from 7:30 to 10:30 so we can push off for Dan's Fantom Works by 11 a.m.

Glide-In Event with soaring gliders and tow planes August 6

Drive In Movie night again Friday August 19, flyover 8 pm, movie The Blue Max 8:30
$10 per car or $20 per car load.

The 38th Antique Car show (TRAACA) Saturday Aug 27 8am-3pm. Car Corral set up first come first serve so we need to go as a group the earlier the better.

Second Annual Air and Auto Classic charity car show on 1 October from 11:00AM- 4:00PM

October 8-9 Biplanes and Triplanes 2011 WW1 Airshow.
