SUNSET RECEPTION PARTY Friday Dec 2

Start off our MAARC weekend watching a beautiful sunset near Clam Digger Hotel.

Your invited to a SUNSET RECEPTION PARTY on FRIDAY December 2, 2011 from 3:30 to 5:30 P.M.

At John Brodman's house 107 Pinewood Circle, Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512

Directions: Yellow house with blue shutters on the ocean side. Park on the front lawn (ignore the no parking sign), driveway, or next door on the east side (number 105).

Pinewood Circle is between mile markers 5.5 and 6.0, about one mile west of the Sheraton Hotel, and about 2.5 to 3.0 miles east of the Clam Digger Hotel. http://g.co/maps/7b9yy

Join the Alfa faithful and watch the sunset on the Right Coast of Atlantic Beach (should be around 5:00 p.m.).

The best colors are after the sun sets. Wear warm clothes as the temp drops rapidly after the sun goes down, especially if it's windy. They will have beer, wine (Italian), some light snacks etc., nothing formal.

Please RSVP if possible to John at beachbumpks@hotmail.com

1974 Alfa Romeo Spider 2000

Found this on Hemmings:

1974 Alfa Romeo Spider 2000

$15,900

Body Style:
2000   Condition: Mint   Interior: Red   Exterior: Black

Location: Charleston, South Carolina, United States
(Google Map - Yahoo! Map)

Description:

1974 Alfa Romeo Spider 2000, Recent restoration, with 2011 bare metal repaint to Ferrari quality standards. Everything is new or like new, including the interior, Alfa alloy wheels, black canvas soft top and chrome. Car has been restored to European standards including dual webers, covered headlights, small side markers, lighter bumpers and headers. Engine compartment highly detailed for show. Drive this car as a daily driver or collect trophies at all shows.
For years, the mechanically identical 2000 GTV has sold in the mid- $ 20K range for well restored cars. Now collectors are realizing the roadster 2000 Spider should be in the same range, but very few cars have been restored to these levels. This is one of those few cars. This car also has the advantage of dual webers versus the finicky SPICA mechanical injection, with the performance gains as well.
The paint job on this car is truly flawless. It would cost over $ 12K to get a comparable paint job on such a car. Fortunately I own my own restoration shop with a full-time 30-year experience painter.
The stereo system is not stock, but is top-of-the line, and includes powerful speakers and remote control.
